Set in an elegant and tranquil neighborhood just 15 minutes from Palma de Mallorca and close to the Mediterranean Sea, this plot offers an exceptional opportunity for a distinctive villa project. While its steep topography and north-facing orientation presented certain design challenges, these very conditions inspired a creative architectural response that makes full use of the site’s unique character.
Our strategy was to elevate the house in a long, slender form along the highest possible building line, parallel to the street. This approach allowed all functions to be positioned as high as possible relative to the road, ensuring that every space enjoys both garden access and sea views. A particular design focus was the integration of the outdoor pool into the flow of the shared living spaces: rather than being set apart at the far end of the garden, it becomes an essential element of the main floor.
With carefully curated openings—each framing a specific function and view—the architecture assumes the presence of a sculptural stone form, anchored into the hillside. Subtle travertine frames accentuate each aperture, lending refinement and precision to the cubic volume, while a sand-toned plaster finish gives the structure a discreet yet powerful sense of place.
