Attached to their existing office building, this new MediaCom Beijing Office extension was a fun exercise experimenting with colour and lighting. Our anySCALE partner Tom Chan was the lead designer for this project and tasked with creating a waiting room and a meeting room “with a twist”. Using a double-layer of mesh panelling with dynamic lighting behind, Tom created two tunnel-like spaces with chamfered sides in one continuous line. The white tunnel is the waiting area and is connected to the red meeting room tunnel by double glass doors. Walking through the spaces the whole effect is similar to being on the set of a futuristic science-fiction movie. A new open plan office spanning the length of the tunnels completes this new look.
