Meitu is a global leader in imaging technology. Since its founding in 2008, it has upheld the philosophy of “bringing art and technology together beautifully,” making image, video, and design creation simple and efficient. In designing the wayfinding system for Meitu’s Xiamen headquarters, we translated this philosophy into spatial language, allowing signage to fulfill its functional role while embodying product logic and brand essence.
The system is built around the core concept of “layers,” inspired by the logic of layered composition in digital image editing. Curved cut forms create two visual levels: base color fields and overlaid “layer effects.” This approach echoes Meitu’s core brand concept and allows variations according to floor themes, enhancing spatial richness. The signage is produced using acrylic cutting and matte finishes, with UV printing or film application to create the layered effects. Across elevator halls, office floors, and live-streaming studios, the signature layered segmentation maintains consistent proportions and visual rhythm, resulting in a system that is clear, structured, and subtly dynamic.
This signage system transforms the office from a purely functional environment into an experiential space that reflects Meitu’s product logic, embedding the idea of “art meeting technology” into every pause and point of orientation.
